doing big things requires lots of energy, and not just physically. mentally too.
and, writing here is important to me. sometimes it feels like outreach, sometimes it feels like a diary. doing this every day helps me recenter.
i didn’t make that time for myself, consciously, today. but i did get a lot done.
one of my closest friends helped me go through some big important data that i probably would have waited too long to do myself, and she helped me make sense of it all, and i am just so happy to have her in my life.
i made a todo list, and checked three things off it.
i scheduled things, ideated others, and reached out to 3 people that are important to me, that i didn’t want them thinking they’d been put on the back burner.
when i do big things i forget how i have a pretty equally big dip in energy over the next couple days. dopamine cycles, and post exertional malaise. this makes sense, but i forget it every time.
so, reminder to you. high highs mean low lows, and that’s natural to make sure you keep doing the things you need to do while not wrecking yourself in the process.
cultivate incredible relationships with friends who help you go through the hard shit.
and rest, rest, rest.
